The short version

Checkpoint QC is a native Mac app that analyses your delivery files locally, on your device. Your video and audio files are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We don't run accounts, we don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell data.

What the app does with your files

File verification and measurement happen entirely on your Mac. The app reads a file's metadata and, when you opt in, decodes it to measure loudness and scan for black/frozen frames. The media never leaves your computer.
QC reports (PDF) you export are written to a location you choose and are not sent to us.
Project and checklist data stay in files under your control.

Purchases

Full Unlock and the optional Spec Updates subscription are handled by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Apple processes the transaction; we never see your payment details. Purchase validation is performed on-device against Apple's receipt.

Spec Updates

If you have the optional Spec Updates subscription, the app may download refreshed delivery-spec data. These requests fetch spec content only — they do not send us your files or personal information.

This website

checkpointqc.com is a static site. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool, to count page visits in aggregate. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites. No personal information is collected by the website.
